Sometimes

Sometimes you accidentally delete your Pinterest account along with your Twitter account, but not always.

oops.

Sometimes you get to have coffee with a friend you only see every 6 months, but not always.

photo circa 2007

Sometimes your favorite person goes to another country, and you can’t communicate for days, but not always.

Sometimes you tackle your goals and make new ones, but not always.

I’m thankful for the sometimes, and I’m thankful for the always.

In the meantime, changes are coming.  I can’t promise they’ll be big or fast (because we all know how that ends), but I can promise they will happen.

Thanks for sticking with me!

love,

Dear Durango,

You were adorable as usual.  I just love your style and your way of going about life.  I feel like we could chill together for quite awhile.

Thank you for grey days, delicious coffee, and some of the best people watching I’ve done in awhile.

I miss that lovely view of yours.  Hopefully this finds you well, and hopefully we can meet again soon!

Ever-yours. love,

Dear Loveland,

You remind me a little of a Colorado version Edmond.  Maybe it’s because you have all those high schools, or because you’re really upscale and fancy but with an artsy side.

Or maybe it’s because you felt a little like home.

Regardless, you are great.  I think we’ll be friends for quite awhile.

Thank you for making us feel welcome.  Thank you for sweet Uncles and Aunts that feed us too well and give us warm places to sleep.  Thank you for cousins who are too much fun, and for being 45 minutes away from RMNP.

Love you, miss you, hope to see you again soon,

last hint of summer

So I’m taking a break from my trip photo posting in order to bring you some photos of a little lemonade party my roommates and I had at the end of the summer.  It’s almost autumn, so I figure if I did this any later it would probably be too late.

Or maybe it’s too late already?

Oh well, I’m sitting in my least favorite class so I’m doing this whether you like it or not {but I do hope you like it!}

So once upon a time, Bethany decided she wanted to make lemonade….now if you know Bethany, you know she doesn’t often make/bake/cook anything, so this was a rare day indeed.

She started with a delicious recipe from Real Simple Magazine

Then she juiced the lemons

Then VOILA!  She had lemonade {or something like that, right?}

Then I added some White Zinfandel {since I’m 21 you know} to make some deeeelicious spiked pink lemonade!

Then we all enjoyed some yummy lemonade and watched Sweet Home Alabama.  Exciting right?

Anyways, sorry if that was boring, anticlimactic, and making you miss summer!  Be excited, autumn is near!

I promise I’ll be back eventually with some more photos from our trip this summer.  For now though, happy Tuesday!

love,

m

ps–here’s a hipster pic Chelsea took of me modeling my cool corkscrew…yes.

ok, EL FIN.
